The Plain is the most hard-wearing as it is pure Herdwick.  The others all have some British lambswool included to make the fabric softer without losing its authenticity.  From sofas to curtains, the catwalk to practical and stylish clothing, this tweed is extremely versatile as can be seen in the Gallery section.
 
And you would be buying direct straight from the maker who farms the sheep that produce the fleece.
